Fan-favorite WunderNuggets Relaunched as WunderBites
[Austin, TX]: Crafty Counter today announced a rebrand of its popular WunderNuggets vegetarian nugget line to WunderBites, a 100% plant-based, protein-rich, bite-sized product. This rebrand comes with a new exciting website, packaging and product names.
While WunderNuggets went fully plant-based in May 2020, the word “nugget” doesn’t fit in with Crafty Counter’s value proposition. WunderBites are so much more than a vegan chicken nugget, they are a wholesome plant-based snack that completes any meal. Crafty Counter believes in whole food ingredients, worldly flavors and simple plant protein, so it has chosen the name WunderBites to better reflect its product line.
“I’ve always been interested in making vegetarian food that is so delicious that people don’t even miss the meat. With our brand new flavor names– Indian Tikka, Mediterranean Falafel, and African Harissa, I think it’s safe to say we’ve done just that!” said Hema Reddy, founder and chief operating officer of Crafty Counter. “Consumers today want to do good by eating foods that don’t create a large footprint and they want to feel good by eating healthy, without sacrificing taste. WunderBites allows them to enjoy their food without a second thought.”
WunderBites are made from simple ingredients and are always minimally processed. Their substantial protein comes from a combination of lentils and chickpeas rather than the more common, more processed, soy or pea protein. WunderBites uses Bengal gram lentils, known as “chana dal,” which are commonly used in sweet and savory dishes in India. One cup of cooked chana dal contains 13 grams of protein and 11 grams of dietary fiber, but only 0.4 grams of saturated fat. Rounded out with a generous portion of cauliflower, cabbage, seasoning, and seeds, WunderBites are free from the top 8 allergens: gluten, soy, grains, eggs, dairy, fish, shellfish, and nuts.
“Although bite-sized, WunderBites are more than just a snack! They complement so many meals – they’re great on avocado toast or pasta, rolled up in a pita or tucked in a taco shell, or as a protein-rich addition to a salad or rice bowl. WunderBites were inspired by my mom’s love-filled Indian cooking as well as my passion for plant-based eating and global cuisine.
